UNESCO – EUROPEAN COMMISION PROJECT

TTK Hospital recognized that most welfare agencies are city-based and the rural masses are being overlooked. Addiction, violence and suicide are common in villages. Women in rural areas are largely illiterate and are unable to access information.

To address these issues, TTK Hospital ,with the support of the UNESCO, undertook a project with the objectives of creating a healthy environment in rural communities by increasing the awareness level of women and also identifying resources in the community for HIV counseling and testing, addiction treatment and vocational training.
